Our Programs

At Fare Share WNY, we run community-centered programs that connect fresh food to the people who need it most—while supporting the farmers who grow it.

Weekly Farmer’s Market

JOIN US! Every Tuesday from 4pm-7pm at 52 Leslie Street, Buffalo NY 14211

** Our market is currently CLOSED for the winter season. We will be back open in June 2026!**

We work with local farmers and producers to market their products directly to consumers. We prioritize minority & women-owned businesses that grow and produce their products locally. Our weekly market runs from June-October on site at our partner farm, Groundwork Market Garden.

We proudly partner with and stock our market with products from the following local farmers/producers:

Are you a local farmer/producer interested in selling at our market? Please reach out by email at info@faresharewny.org!

Good Neighbors Solidarity ShareS

This program is our commitment to our belief that everyone has a right to access & afford fresh, nutritious food. We understand that various life circumstances can make it challenging to afford fresh whole foods. Additionally, we acknowledge the institutionalized and historical inequities and barriers to access that have disproportionately affected Buffalo’s East side residents, particularly those who are Black and people of color. To respond to the diverse needs of our community, we are inspired by the example of Soul Fire Farm and other similar organizations, and we offer our Solidarity Share program to residents in the City of Good Neighbors.

Solidarity CSA Shares are provided at no-cost for households that are currently facing financial hardship and/or food insecurity. The shares are fully subsidized by contributions from individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and grant funding.  Anyone who identifies as low-income and nutrition-insecure is invited to apply. In other words, if it is challenging for your household to access and afford fresh vegetables, fruits, and other whole foods- we invite you to apply for a share! Solidarity Shares are currently limited to residents of the City of Buffalo.

APPLY

If you are currently in need of support, we offer this community to lean on and invite you to apply for a Solidarity Share.

If you are currently in a position to support, please show our community members what it means to live in the City of Good Neighbors.
