OUR STORY
Fare Share WNY is a 501c3 organization based in Buffalo, NY, working to strengthen the local food system, empower and educate farmers and consumers, and increase equitable access to fresh, nutritious food. Founded in 2020 by Mayda Pozantides—owner of Groundwork Market Garden—Fare Share was created to build on the farm’s mission by addressing systemic food access challenges and supporting both farmers and the communities they feed.
Through our dedicated efforts, we strive to make a meaningful impact by addressing the challenges of food insecurity and financial difficulties within the Buffalo community. By fostering access to nutritious produce, we aim to promote the overall well-being of those in need.
